Call for Proposals: 2026 ICLE and TILES Collaborative Conference (Submission Deadline: April 30)
As global migration and digital connectivity redefine the language classroom, the intersection of Eastern and Western educational traditions has never been more significant. While this convergence offers immense potential for innovation, it also reveals divergent cultural assumptions regarding pedagogy and student-teacher dynamics.
グローバル化の進展やデジタル技術の発達により、言語教育を取り巻く環境は大きく変化しています。こうした変化の中で、東洋と西洋それぞれの教育観や指導法が交わる場面はますます増えており、その意義も一層高まっています。そこには新たな実践や発想を生み出す可能性がある一方で、授業の進め方や教員と学習者の関係性に対する文化的な前提の違いも見えてきます。
This conference, “The Global Classroom: Navigating East–West Perspectives in Language Education,” invites language educators to reflect on how culture shapes teaching and learning practices. We welcome proposals for paper presentations and poster sessions that explore how educators engage with materials and technologies and experiment with diverse methods across cultural contexts.
本大会テーマ「The Global Classroom: Navigating East–West Perspectives in Language Education」では、言語教育者が文化が教育実践と学習実践をどのように形作るかについて議論する機会である。異なる文化的背景のもとで、教材やテクノロジーをどのように活用し、多様な指導法をどのように工夫・実践しているのかについてのご提案を広く募集いたします。
We encourage both practice-oriented presentations and research-based studies related to language education, including topics such as:

Our goal is to create a space where language teachers and researchers can share experiences, challenges, and practical strategies for teaching in culturally diverse educational environments.
文化的に多様な教育環境における言語教育の実践や課題について、教員・研究者が経験や知見を共有し、今後の指針をともに考える場となることを目指しています。
